DRAWN DOUBLES COMPETITION 2009/10

Please help with the following to ensure smooth running of the competition:

MAIN CLUB CONTACTS are as listed on 'contacts list' attached. It is their responsibilty to pass the draw details to all their club players.

Draw sheets for ALL 4 WEEKS are attached in Excel.

Week 1 labelled 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E.

Week 2 labelled 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E etc etc.

Please CHECK IMMEDIATELY if you are down as HOSTING. Any problems with day or date contact Noel 01428 653174 asap. Ensure the first named person under 'hosting' on the contact list prints off a scoresheet and sends it to the Tournament Organiser fully completed.

Please contact all players from your CLUB with dates of play, venue & drawn partners. Ask them to contact partners direct to ensure all is ok.

If one partner of a team (or even both) are unavailable on a particular date, please could the MAIN CONTACT endeavour to find a scratch team of two to make up a full number of 5 teams on any one evening.

The 'extra' player can be anyone registered to play in H&DTT League 2009/10 not already entered in this competition. Please enter full names and scores on scoresheet, but enter 'nil points' in the summary box.

Not scoring on one occasion does NOT eliminate teams from the competition. Last year several teams who had only scored in three rounds reached Finals Day top 16 teams.

Finals Day is Tuesday 5th January 2010 at The Edge. This is a knockout and plate/consolation

competition for the top 16 teams so everyone plays a minimum of at least two matches.

The winners & runners up of both competitions receive league trophies!!!

The MOST IMPORTANT thing is to stress to your club members this competition is for:

a] playing more doubles; b] socialising; c] having a good time!!
