SUMMER LEAGUE 2010

The experimental 2009 Summer League was very successful. Played on Wednesday evenings, with players handicapped based on their 2008/9 winter league results, 10 teams entered and 38 players participated. All the matches were played on time and without a single cancellation. The winners were only decided in the final round on the very last night - the Apprentices coming through to win by just 1 point with Liphook Lambs as runners up.

It has been agreed that H&DTTA should continue to operate a Summer League on a similar basis during July and August 2010. Although this is a long way off, it would help if we could have an early indication of the number of teams likely to be interested. Comments on the format would also be welcome.
